Released Albums

Hi Paul, we last interviewed you for your 4 March 2026 album release with ‘Les Paul’s’ (The Paul’s), called ‘Stormy Weather’ – what has been happening since?
Well, while we are currently working on our next studio ‘Les Paul’s’ (The Paul’s) blues/rock album to be called ‘Time To Get Real’, I have released a few solo albums, 5 solo albums to be precise all with my song lyrics. The 5th album was released on 19 May 2026 and as with them all by my record label London’s Swiss Cottage Recordz, with publishing by Studio City’s UL Sounds LLC together with Budde Music and with licensing by Florida’s Audiosparx.

That is an amazing output of songs, can you run us through the new albums?
Yes, there are 2 Jazz albums called, ‘Jazz is King’ and ‘All That Jazz’, and 3 Rockabilly albums called ‘Rockabilly Boy’, ‘ Rockabilly Girls’ and ‘Rockabilly Boys & Girls’.

Can you tell us more about each album?
Yes sure, the 2 authentic sounding Jazz albums are about relationships, love, loss and more, and each relates to today’s time as much as in the past.
I first heard Jazz songs with a cassette tape of Count Basie’s songs that my uncle had given to me when I was about 15 years old, together with a cassette tape of Frank Sinatra’s ‘Strangers in The Night’ collection of songs, as well as a single by Billie Holiday and a single by Buddy Holly, also an obscure single by Freddie Hart called ‘Some Do, Some Don’t’, and I was influenced by them all and by all of the music of the 60’s as well as by The Beatles of course, I then lived a stone’s throw from The Beatles Abbey Road Studio.

And the Rockabilly albums?
I created the 3 Rockabilly albums as I was born a few days after Elvis had his first national number one hit with ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ and almost 3 years to the day before Buddy Holly was killed in his fatal airplane crash at Clear Lake, I actually wrote a tribute bonus track on ‘Rockabilly Girls’ called, ‘Buddy is Gone’.

Were Elvis and Buddy Holly a major influence on you and your musical development?
Elvis influenced everyone up to his death and beyond to this day. One of the first records that I was ever given was a 45’ record by Buddy Holly called ‘It Doesn’t Matter Any More’ and ‘Raining in My Heart’ and my 2 most musical ‘Wow’ moments were on first hearing those songs and also the other songs that I later discovered by Buddy, and also upon hearing Dylan’s ‘Stuck Inside of Mobile’ and all the other songs on his ‘More Greatest Hits albums’.

Yes, I have heard these 5 albums and the Rockabilly albums particularly sound as though they were recorded in the 1950’s!
The Rockabilly albums all have authentic sounding music and vocals but with lyrics that are somewhat a deeper socio-political critique wrapped inside the Rockabilly rhythm loaded with weight, wit and moral complexity and the songs are more about today then they are about yesterday.

Thanks so much Paul and we’ll be looking out for more of your songs, where can we hear more of your work?
