Singer-Songwriter Beats His 50-Year Old Challenge To Himself
UK multi-instrumentalist, Tash Hagz vowed to his dying father that he would succeed in writing, recording and releasing a self-penned single before he reached the ripe old age of 50 years old. With mere months to spare, the indie rocker has succeeded in getting his first official single released worldwide on 4 September 2020.
In 2011, a year after his father’s death, Tash followed the UK news closely about British footballer, Ryan Giggs who was at the centre of a media frenzy due to his secret affair with Big Brother contestant and glamour model, Imogen Thomas. This was the inspiration for his debut release.
Why the delay? Tash says: “We’d left it too late to have a child. Instead, we spent years in the UK’s awful adoption process. But we got there – we adopted a fantastic 7-year-old in 2017. That was our priority. But I never forgot the promise to my dad. He’d have loved it.”
