Robbie’s Bio

Robbie Rapids is a singer/guitarist from Grand Rapids, MI. He began music in middle school taking guitar lessons and was writing original songs by high school. Robbie joined his local high school Jazz band as guitarist to reach into a new style. From high school on to college Robbie played in cover bands and original bands mainly as the guitarist contributing an original here and there. In Georgia, Robbie began taking singing more seriously and started performing in Classic Rock / Top 40 cover bands 10 years back as Vocalist/Guitarist. Best known recently for fronting a Tom Petty Tribute because of the similarity of his voice; now Robbie is releasing his own songs. Robbie’s teamed up on this song with both prolific session musician/producer David Levene for this release.

David’s Bio

David’s musical journey begins at 16 when he traveled to Peru where his father worked for a multinational company. It is there where in 1968 he joined the psychedelic legendary rock band “Laghonia”. LAGHONIA is considered by most music experts as one of the best psychedelic rock band from South America, reason why Laghonia was mentioned in Rolling Stone Magazine among the top Rock bands to emerge from that part of the continent. Laghonia’s music is still being played on commercials in England even today and the music is available for streaming / purchase on all platforms. After 2 records and touring to support the albums, a young David Levene left the group to return to the US, he studied recording technology in the legendary Criteria recording studio, several years later he moved to LA to pursue his music career and gain more experience as a session player/producer. In 1996 David left the LA scene settling in Atlanta where he now is the owner of Big Sound Productions ATL.
