Folk/Pop
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
Music has been a part of our lives since before we were born. Our mom listened to classical music when she was pregnant with both of us and we have always used music in our life growing up. We have gathered repertoire from different genres, we love to sing and perform, and we try to bring all of that training into the music we write. Our goal is to bring more positive music to the world all the while hoping to bring a little light and share our love of it.
What are your biggest musical influences?
Some of our biggest musical influences range from the Oh Hellos to the Foo Fighters to Thomas Bergersen. There are so many artists across several genres that inspire us in lyric writing and composing. A few more include: Jon Bellion, AJR, The Midnight, Twenty One Pilots, Set It Off, Adele, Cody Fry, AURORA, ABBA, etc. This doesn’t cover our love of show tunes and other famous composers that have taken the world by storm. Our goal is to touch the heart’s of others the same way music touches us.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
We use Clinetel Music label but consider ourselves independent too because we are not signed yet to any label.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Probably balancing going to college and performing/writing and recording music.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
3 Original, 3 Covers
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
Our latest release was commissioned by a fan. During an interview, a question was posed to Elisabeth about her mother and the role she plays in their life and her response was “She’s the wind beneath my wings.” After the interview the host, who is a big fan, said “Sisters J has to record that song and I am going to pay for it. It is a song close to our hearts and is a song that is special to lots of people. We spent seven hours in the studio with our producer Ted “Theo” Perlman.
