Since 2012 Sattwa Arising have been releasing and performing an eclectic mix of rock and blues and their brand new album ‘Mind Theft’ pushes the boundaries even further tapping into funk and jazz as well as some aggressive hard rock.
The group have been performing in capital cities around Australia while tapping into a large audience overseas who have been very pleased with the new music. With an album just released the band are looking at getting out and hitting the stage in promoting it so stay tuned.

Rock&alternative

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
After experiencing some wonderful feelings making music with friends in high school at our social events.

What are your biggest musical influences?
The Beatles/Foo Fighters/Paul McCartney, basically anything from classical to metal.

Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
Independent but definitely looking to get signed.

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Trying to reach a larger audience live as well as through distribution.

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
Two EPs and a full lengths album.

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
It’s an intimate and introspective musical journey. It’s a mixture of rock, jazz, blues and funk with a good depth of Harmon and melody. We experimented with lots of sound on this album with many diverse influences that I’m happy we could cover.

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Now that restrictions are lifting in Australia we’re very keen to get gigging again :))))
