Hi, my name is Rex James IV. I am a 16 year old artist, model, actor and varsity football player. I landed a lead role playing Daniel in the upcoming 2025 movie “Mi Loca Quinceanera” starring actress Izabellah Rae Diez. I have been taking vocal lessons with VJ Rosales and exploring music as a singer/songwriter drawing inspiration from country and blues influences. My favorite artist is Zach Bryan. I had the privilege of collaborating with recording artist Izabellah Rae Diez on our country style duet single “Finally” co-written with Drew Lang & Tess Monepere just released in October on all streaming platforms and released our music video filmed by Michael Feifer and produced my Magic Camera Productions on New Years day! Recently, I just went back into the studio with Drew Right Music wrapping up the recording of a soundtrack with Izabellah for “Mi Loca Quinceanera” with featured cast members. Also, I just released my first country single “All That I Am” co-written with Drew Lang on Valentines day this year!. Hope you enjoy it! More to come!

Where are you based?
Los Angeles

How long have you been making music?
Making music is a new venture for me, and I’ve been really blessed to dive into it over the past year, starting in 2024

What genre would you consider your music to be?
My primary genre is country

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I first got into music thanks to the amazing Izabellah Rae Diez. We did a duet “Finally” together and not long after that, I co-wrote a song about her called “All That I Am.” That really sparked something in me and made me realize I wanted to keep making music.

What are your biggest musical influences?
Some of my biggest musical influences are Luke Combs, Zach Bryan, and Morgan Wallen

Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I am an Independent artist managed by Candy Diez of Magic Camera Productions currently recording with Drew Right Music and Kelly James Productions. Incredibly grateful for their support, guidance and expertise!

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Honestly, one of the biggest challenges for me has been building confidence in the studio. At first, it was hard to let go and just be myself, especially with people watching or listening. You start overthinking everything—like how you sound or if your ideas are good enough. But over time, I realized you really have to push past those insecurities to make something real. The more I let myself just feel the music and not worry about being perfect, the better it gets.

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
So far, I’ve released a couple of tracks. My duet “Finally” came out on 10/18/24, and it’s available on all streaming platforms. It was written by Drew Lang, Izabellah Rae Diez, and Tess Monepere. My first single, All That I Am, dropped on 2/14/25, released by Drew Right Music.

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My most recent release is a song called “All That I Am.” It’s inspired by the feelings of love I lost and then got back. Writing it with Drew Lane was an emotional journey, and I’m really proud of how it turned out.

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Yeah, actually—I recently had the chance to go out to Nashville and record two songs with Kelly James Productions and Drew Lang, which was such a cool experience. I’m super excited about how they turned out and can’t wait to share more music soon!
