I’m RA Light from Bronx, NY. Lil Wayne got me into hip hop, as a kids I grew up listening to Eminem, 50 Cent but Li Wayne played a part, like 13 year old me wanted to be a member of Young Money.
Although never got into the studio until age 21-22. Blast In Z Here & Now is a tribute to all the songs I recorded in 2017, with one extended version done in 2018, and a short in 2019. My music, especially after learning how to play bongos, has a focus on esoteric topics which as I progress, the more I make my focus shine in my own style, I have a lot of stuff to drop. I am a hip-hop/rap focus artist.
Kid Core, producer/engineer, helped me a lot since Day 1. Taught me the ropes of doing doubles for hook. The producer who helped me make Godly Fool and my half of My Year feat J. Vond, challenged me into doing the hook 3 times.
My biggest influence, varies at the moment, like who I rocked with a teenager is different than who I kick with as a young adult. As who I see inspirational is Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Nas, Gorillaz, Falling In Reverse, Childish Gambino, Chance The Rapper, the late Mac Miller & Nipsey Hussle to name a few. I would love to work with Ab-Soul in the future, that be killer.
I’m most proud Ninja Go feat Xeperr due to the fact that Xeperr was a wise teacher I been listening to in 2015, and in 2018 the extended version was born. I usually go to the studio or record at home once the kids are sleeping. Somethings were even recorded in the staircases.
