Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
It’s crazy because before everything happened, I got a message from my mom telling me to go see my Grandma; she was sick in the hospital and we didn’t know how much time we had left with her. I was struggling with the thought of losing her. A few days later I got the call my cousin got killed, he was more of a brother to me than anything. He was the big dawg, I mean I was older but he was “The GUY”. Two weeks later we lost my grandma, and I was feeling it all at once. I was lost with the pain of everything around me, and I need to get out what I was feeling in the best way I know how…. make music. I knew once I was done writing “My Letter” how much it meant to not only me, but my family as a whole. We were all carrying the weight of so much loss in such a short time, I needed to honor my cousin Baby D, my Grams and my family by making this song… our SONG! “My Letter” expresses the pain, loss, love and strength of my family and how music brings us all together.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
Always! I am continuously working on new projects! Infact, I have another album and single dropping soon!
