Mission Road was formed in the summer of 2021 when vocalist Christina Alexander teamed up with keyboard player and songwriter Elliot Simon. The name comes from the street on which Christina was living at the time up on the mountain outside of Harpers Ferry, WV.
The band is still based in Harpers Ferry and has joined forces with pedal steel/steel guitarist Keith Dill, bassist Paulie Coconuts and drummer/percussionist Dru Broome. Mission Road’s music is a mix of originals and covers and is country music with influences that include pop, roots rock and Americana. Mission Road released their first album, All I Want to Say in December of 2023. The album contains 13 tracks, 10 of which were written by Elliot. It is available on all major retail platforms. They have a non-album single with an official release date of April 1, 2025. Mission Road has performed hundreds of times at venues throughout the region – the Mid-Atlantic and the South – as a duo, trio and full band.

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
We’ve gone through a lot of drummers. 😂
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
We’ve released 14 songs. 13 of which appear on our debut album.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
It’s called Take My Hand, written by Mission Road co-founder Elliot Simon and it has a spiritual side to it.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
We’re currently in the studio working on an EP. We’re really excited about how its coming along. Also, we will be performing at ISSA in August. We’re excited about that too!
