Michael Brading is an up and coming singer/ songwriter and producer hailing from Houston, Texas. Originally a producer, Michael’s dedication to his craft has earned him substantial recognition. Michael was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) 2017 for “Hidden Love”. Possessing an undying passion for musical creativity, Michael’s ingenuity ignited as he progressed from being labeled as an acoustic artist to formulating his own unique style by fusing together aspects from various genres including Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, and Electronic. Michael released his “Connection EP” in October 2018. Brading is now Featuring his latest single “Want You Back,” from the self debut “Vocal Release” EP, premiering early 2019.

I currently live in Houston, Texas

How long have you been making music?
I have been making music since I was young. I have been pursueing my career for atleast 10 years.

What genre would you consider your music to be?
I am ecclectic when it comes to genre. I am primarily pop, and my subgenres include: Rnb, Hiphop, and electronic

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I was strangly fascinated with recording, beginning at age 5. I had received a talkboy for christmas, and I carried it around for years. My parents said I was always singing so they thought I would want to record myself.I began producing music at the age of 10. I later taught myself how to play the guitar. I am the only one in my family who sings or even knows how to play an instrument, so my inspirtation was innate, other than influences of mainstream artists.

What are your biggest musical influences?
I have many, but when I was 16, The Fray changed everything for me. The album how to save a life literally ignited my abilites as a singer-songwriter. Chris brown definitely influenced my connection to Hip Hop and Rnb.

Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I am an Independent artist with mainstream ideas. I own the label, “Third Dimension Records”, and have since released all material under the label.

What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
The Journey is long, and has thus far been filled with challenges that have always taken me to the next level. As a producer, it is walays important to collaborate with another producer, in order to finalize a mix and master. As an artist I seek to be true to myself, getting the right team together to launch a project can be difficult. Taking the initiative for Promoting, marketing,takes time, persistance and daily grind. I am all in so challenges are second nature at this point.

How many songs or albums have you released to date?
In 2007 I released 4 songs on my first EP “Image of Uncertainty” . I continued to write over the years and released several singles to understand how to better target my audience. In 2017 I released “Hidden Love,” an EP with 6 songs. Thus far in 2018 I have released 6 songs, including the “Connections EP”. Atleast 20 songs have been released to date, but not all of them remain published.

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
I am featuring “Want You Back,” as a premier for my up and coming EP “Verbal Release” .The single was written first, proceeding the remaining songs on the EP, and represents a transformation of rising to the next level.

Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I have a lot of new music coming early 2019. I am pumped about my next EP “Verbal Release,” and I plan for it to be available February 2019 at the latest. As an individual who seeks change yet continuously fights resistance, I found myself pushing a top left unspoken. The EP “Verbal Release” supports Mental Health Awareness. There will be great things ahead, and I’m looking forward to releasing new material.
