Hey, I’m Doug Washington, aka Just Doug, a music producer with a passion that ignited in school band back in 4th grade. I’ve grown from piano and drums to electronic dance music. Since 2009, I’ve crafted beats under the name Just Doug, evolving from my earlier persona Skeptic The Basshead. College introduced me to DJing, leading to my electrifying debut three years later.

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
My Decision to pursue a music career was greatly influenced by my upbringing in a musically inclined family and my continuous involvement in band classes throughout my entire grade school.
What are your biggest musical influences?
While it’s challenging to pinpoint a single influence due to my appreciation for a wide range of music genres, I find a profound connection with the art of music itself. The thrill of different sounds harmonizing and the continuous exploration of new and unique musical expressions inspire me greatly.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I am presently an independent artist with a strong desire to secure a record label partnership to further advance my music career.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?

My most recent release, titled ‘Wildfire,’ is an integral part of my upcoming album, ‘Phoenix.’ ‘Phoenix’ is a concept album that narrates my personal journey, capturing the experiences and challenges I faced during my hiatus from music.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I am in the process of creating an upcoming album titled ‘Phoenix,’ which is a storytelling project recounting my personal experiences during my hiatus. While I do not have a specific release date set, I am aiming to launch it around the summer of 2024. I am committed to taking the necessary time to ensure the project is of the highest quality.
