
JPLovesIt is a world-inspired singer-songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts based in Los Angeles, CA
Born in Port Au Prince, Haiti, she fell in love with distinctive Haitian music such as Konpa. Her family introduced her to Salsa, Bolero, and Zouk, to mention but a few styles.
JPLovesIt got her first opportunity to shine at the Handel and Hayden society. She was handpicked to attend the New England Conservatory, where her passion kept growing.
One of her inspirations, the people around her. Especially the doubters, because she always had supportive friends and family that encouraged her to come out of her shell. Now, she is proving these naysayers wrong. JPLovesIt is a rising star whose name is on everyone’s lips. Her music is emotional, visceral, and powerful. Through her songs, JPLovesIt wants to uplift and inspire her adoring listeners.

How long have you been making music?
10 years on and off. I’m always looking for inspiration so the gap between my music vary.
What genre would you consider your music to be?
For the longest I tried to answer that question,I just don’t like the idea of boxing up my craft however it’s best to call my music world.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I had a friend named John who believed in me more than I believed in myself. He was gunned down and when he died ,I vowed to take music seriously.
What are your biggest musical influences?
I love Lauren Hill & Nina Simone.They have a way of demanding attention.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I’m an Independent Artist and loving it!
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
One of my biggest challenges is learning to accept when my loved ones couldn’t make it to my shows.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I’ve released 7 songs to date.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest release is Judy. Judy deals with standing in your own way in the quest for happiness, while the name Judy is a reference to a higher power. The song expresses it in the form of a lush reggae rhythm, with a unique feel.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I plan to release another single in July. I can’t say much about it however I can say that I am so excited for you all to hear it!
