I’m Jan, 17 years old and musical artist.
Where are you based?
I’m from Germany but I only do english music.
How long have you been making music?
I started playing the guitar when I was 6 years old. I alsways wanted to release my own music. I uploaded my first youtube videos a few years ago. My first single came out last year on all platforms. The feedback was crazy. Wrong my second latest single hit one million streams a few days ago. I still can’t believe that.
What genre would you consider your music to be?
I don’t really stick to a genre. I’d say I’m mostly doing pop rap music. Sometimes it’s also a bit trap.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I always dreamed of a career in music. I was inspired by every song I heard and wanted to do that for my whole life.
What are your biggest musical influences?
I was actually influenced by many artists since I’m young. But I was influenced the most by Juice Wrld. His music is just too fire. I love it.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
I’m an independent artist and produce all of my songs. I also do mix&mastering.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
When I started with youtube videos, all people at school laughed about me. But I never stopped and now I’m where I ever wanted to be.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I have released 8 singles yet. In 2021 there’s going to be an album. Probably by the end of the year.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest release “Outta My Head” is the song I’m most proud of. I worked really hard on that. It took 5 months to finish the song.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
My next release is going to be in January. I have a few projects on the go already. I’m about to finish something witha producer from internet money for example.
