J.LONG has been producing, writing, & performing music for 20+ years
What genre would you consider your music to be?
J.Long made a genre called Jesus-Genre. While J.Longs music is all about Jesus there’s not a typical genre you can box J.Long in!
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
It only can be a calling from God in order to purse music as a career & have the patience to deal with the trials, tribulations & flat out pure evilness of some human beings in the music industry!
What are your biggest musical influences?
I have my favorite artist and listeners can hear their influence in my music, but the people enjoying my music is what influences me to create!
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
J.LONG releases all his music through the independent label JFAM ENT. (ENT, being short for Enterprises)
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
Politics, Blackballing & so called music executives that don’t know a lick about creating real music make pursuing a music career difficult but, I (we as in my village, my team) rise above all challenges! The gift of creating music God has given me will always make room for me as long as I continue to use it! God never said there wouldn’t be challenges. God actually said there would be many challenges but He promised to bring us through them all! Even Jesus had to flip over some tables and yell at a few people for making His Fathers house a den of thieves! Nothing has changed! I’m a Christian artist and most executives that are in charge of releasing Christian music don’t even believe in Jesus! They’re just lining their pockets! They’ve turned Jesus into Santa clause! Jesus is not only The Son Of God, He’s The Only Way to get to God! No one comes to The Father unless you go through Jesus! You can’t have eternal life unless you go through Jesus! Yeah I’d say Jesus is a pretty big deal and not someone to be compared to a fictional character that rides reindeer in a big red suit!

Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
We recently released the music video for a song titled “Loving On Me”. It’s a smooth ballet that speaks on the love Jesus has for us as human in spite of all the wrong we do. The video demonstrates Jesus ultimate love for us by dying by way of crucifixion.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I will be touring again soon with my band bringing the very true gospel of Jesus Christ in our very own unique way through music, live performances & theatre!
