Izabellah Rae Diez is a vibrant 16-year-old with Mexican and Cuban roots, born on July 17th, 2008. She’s a multi-talented teen who loves expressing herself through singing and songwriting, and she brings her energy to the cheerleading squad. When she’s not performing, you’ll find Izabellah baking up sweet treats, getting lost in a good book, or soaking up the sun. With a long list of hobbies and a passion for creativity, Izabellah is always finding new ways to shine.

How long have you been making music?
I began making music about two years ago when I was invited to perform a song for a film, which sparked my passion for creating and exploring my own sound.
What genre would you consider your music to be?
My music leans toward indie pop with a strong emphasis on storytelling, occasionally infused with elements of country to add a unique, heartfelt touch.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I was inspired to pursue a career in music by the powerful emotions I experienced while performing on stage, but even more so by the joy of songwriting—expressing complex feelings and seeing others connect with them on a personal level.
What are your biggest musical influences?
Some of my musical influences include Taylor Swift, for her narrative-driven songwriting, and Rihanna, whose distinctive sound and versatility have deeply inspired me.
Are you signed to a label or are you an independent artist?
As of right now I am an independent artist
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
One of the biggest challenges in my music career has been navigating a sense of uncertainty—feeling like I didn’t quite have a place or fully understand where I fit musically
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
As of now, I have one single out titled ‘Fake Friends,’which was released last year. I also collaborated on a duet called ‘Finally’ with my good friend Rex James·
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My newest release, ‘Mirror Says,’ comes out on July 17th, which also happens to be my birthday. The song was originally written for a film I’m starring in called Mi Local Quinceañera. It’s a deeply personal track about self-love and embracing your true identity. I’m really proud of how it ties into both the story of the film and my own journey.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I plan to continue writing and releasing more music in the future, so stay tuned for what’s next. Also, keep an eye out for my upcoming movie Mi Local Quinceañera, premiering later this year—it features a full original soundtrack that I’m really excited about
