Capri is a 20 year-old, Canadian, Billboard-charting, Guinness World Record-holding singer and songwriter now based in LA with over 1.3 million followers across her social platforms. Her songs have amassed millions of streams from Spotify to Tik Tok and YouTube and the music video for her song “Not Your Toy” has gone viral. What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I don’t ever remember there being a time in my life where music was not the career that I wanted to pursue. It has always been my passion and my dream to be an artist.

This EP is signed to a label under Virgin Records called Big Mac Entertainment.
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
The music industry. Just kidding. A career in the arts is stigmatized for a reason: it is definitely not the easiest field to succeed in. There is a lot of pressure and weird stuff that you have to put up with, but its all worth it when you see the good things start to happen.

I have released over 21 songs.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
“When I Cry I Like to Dance” is an emotional, dark project that encompasses what it is like to be a young girl struggling with self love and relationships, all while navigating young adulthood. At first listen, the project sounds like something you’d want to dance to, but with a deeper listen, you can hear the dramatic and sentimental themes within the lyrics.
