My name is Aliona. I am an independent music and media artist stationed in Chicago. I write my song lyrics and compose my own music. I am also creating my own music videos. What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
I used to listen to so many songs and that inspired me to created something of my own.
What are your biggest musical influences?
My biggest music influences are not only the genres of music (Pop, Hip Hop, Rock, and ALT-Z is my favorite because it could sound upbeat even while showing emotion through the lyrics), but are also artists like Terror Jr. (I love this bands music), Ellie Goulding (I love her voice and live vocals), Parachute (I love this bands lyrics), and a new musician I really enjoy for the variation in singing and musical notes and styles is Jeris Johnson.

I am an independent musician/media & entertainment artist
What have been the biggest challenges in your music career?
The biggest challenge in my musical career would be trying to improve myself at doing a lot of things as an independent artist (by myself), and having to be really patient with myself so that I could continue to work hard to get all my goals done and be proud of myself for doing my best.
How many songs or albums have you released to date?
I have released 20 songs and 2 albums “Your Heart Album” and “Mind Palace Album” to this date.
Can you tell us a few things about your latest release?
My latest release “Iridescent Love” is about being who we are and each of us accepting each other as equals, being transparent about ourselves and just showing the purest of love to everyone in our lives no matter what we get in return, in hopes to make a change in the world. The message is to never repudiate or refuse to be associated with someone like or someone not like you. Stand up for others (including yourself) no matter what. Don’t forget about others around you who suffer, And who knows? Maybe it will bring light to someone else’s shadow. Don’t forget, some people don’t have what you have. Maybe you could lend them your gem shoes or diamond soul? 😉 Go on that marathon! Make the change! Lift. People. Up.
Any plans for new music or upcoming projects we should know about?
I plan on doing a wide variety of new things coming soon, such as more original music videos, vlogs, and music coming soon. The only difference now is that I have a beat maker in my home studio, so I will be the one deciding on not only the structure and lyrics of my music, but what the background music sounds like without any distractions.
