This song was written for Denim Bradshaw of Winston-Salem North Carolina. Denim participated in his first and last bullride on 1-28-2023. Unfortunately Denim fell off the Bull and got stomped in the chest sending him into cardiac arrest. He passed away due to his injuries.
I was very moved by this tragic story and wrote a song not just in memory of him but for the rest of his grieving family. I encourage people to not just listen to “Born to Ride” but visit www.denimslaw.com to support his mother’s cause in trying to get a law passed called “Denim’s Law.” His Mom’s goal is to see more safety measures are put in place to prevent further injury or death to youth bullriders like Denim.
